Rachel McNaughton is a self taught artist living in Yorkshire. She works mainly in watercolour and pastel but also paints on silk. The subject matter of her paintings is drawn from her love of the English garden, flowers and landscape. Still life and children also feature in her work. She has had paintings published in this country and in the USA and the Far East. Watercolour is the medium for most of her paintings but pastel, particularly for landscape, is a strong favourite for its glowing colour.

Rachel is a member of the Leeds Fine Art Club, and a professional associate of the SAA (Society Of All Artists) and has had several articles printed in "Paint" magazine. Further articles are scheduled to appear in "Leisure Painter" magazine in the March, April and May issues. She teaches regular watercolour classes and demonstrates to art clubs.
